Bio

Hola! My name is Naomi Wahls. I'm Luxembourgish and American. I'm a Learning Developer and Continuing Professional Development Coordinator at TU Delft in the Netherlands. I'm a volunteer UNESCO hub coordinator for Open Education for a Better World.
I reside in beautiful Delft Netherlands with my son and my dogs. I enjoy hiking and biking. I also enjoy watching my son learn new things. In my spare time I croquet baby afghans and scarves to give away.
In May of 2012 I completed a Masters degree in Information and Learning Technologies with an emphasis in Designing eLearning Environments, in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Colorado Denver, where I already completed my BA in International Studies. In December of 2015, I completed a Masters of Spanish. During my Spanish Masters research, I studied video lessons, social media, and game based learning. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I taught Spanish 1010 online. In 2014 I found a grant and helped design the first Spanish online course for UC Denver.
In a former project in Colorado, I assisted a Spanish Graduate Teaching Assistant with a telecollaboration project between his Spanish 2150 course and a course in Mexico. The project included a course redesign grant for the Spring 2016 semester. I enjoy speaking at conferences to help others learn about technology use for education.
In November of 2012 I started my own business: Wahls Instructional Design LLC. As a small business owner, I was the Director of Technology and Global Online Education for The Wahls Foundation, which is a medical research organization for Dr. Terry Wahls. I instructionally designed a graduate Teacher Education MOOC that released in 2017.
